Born in Jordan in 1986, Ruba Abu Shousheh is an artist and designer, with an experience dating back to 2008. Her work is focused on traditional and contemporary art projects. She has completed a Master’s Degree in Islamic Art at the Islamic Art and Architecture Institute/World Islamic Science University in Jordan in 2013, and has organized exhibitions and workshops regionally and locally. Moreover, she has participated in exhibitions and has held workshops in different countries, and won several distinctions and awards, she has also participated in the Academy Of Visual Arts, Leipzig-German, Festival of Arabic calligraphy, 2007, Algiers - Algeria and the Arts FST Settat, Settat in Morocco". For her traditional art pieces, she brings her unique views to reflect higher concepts and symbols to manifest artistic vision through various mediums and styles. Ruba’s landscape artworks depict the sky of Amman, with tones that reflect the harmony of the city, and no sharp lines or elements of figure within a bustling city, to find a spiritual connection between the ground and the sky with her “stairs of Amman” pieces. In 2012 she received an award for her painting, entitled "Sky of Amman”.
